Since its inception under the leadership of King Abdulaziz Al Saud -may God bless him- and later through his sons King Saud, King Faisal, King Khaled, King Fahd, and King Abdullah -may God have mercy on them- and currently King Salman -may God protect him- the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has demonstrated a strong commitment to upholding human rights, respecting the sovereignty of other nations, and refraining from interference in their internal affairs. The Kingdom has consistently shown deep regard for the governments of other countries by establishing diplomatic relations rooted in mutual cooperation and constructive engagement, aimed at bolstering stability, fostering growth, and promoting prosperity for all peoples. This unwavering dedication has earned our rational leadership international acclaim over the years, drawing admiration from peace-loving nations and advocates of harmonious coexistence.
Over the span of nearly a century, Riyadh has set an example in promoting the rule of law, fostering peace and security cultures, steering clear of conflicts, utilizing diplomatic measures, and engaging in constructive dialogues via formal channels to resolve challenges and obstacles. This approach aims to steer nations towards sustainable development, elevate the well-being of their citizens, and ensure a harmonious existence free from entrenched hostilities. 
Therefore, the Standing Committee of International Humanitarian Law in Saudi Arabia aims to achieve prominent presence in global forums dedicated to human welfare in times of peace and conflict. By actively promoting respect for and dissemination of international humanitarian law principles, the Committee endeavors to contribute to a safer and more stable world. This objective is rooted in the committee's foundational principles, its defined tasks, and the embodiment of the Kingdom's regional and international leadership. As a result, this pivotal role is widely recognized, respected, and appreciated by nations worldwide. 
Saudi Arabia has repeatedly emphasized its unwavering dedication to upholding the established principles outlined in the United Nations Charter and international law. This includes respecting the sovereignty of states, promoting good neighborly relations, and advocating for peaceful conflict resolution. These steadfast commitments have garnered significant recognition for the Saudi Arabia on the global stage. 
The Kingdom's prominent contributions across various domains have consistently bolstered the committee's endeavors, leading to tangible accomplishments at both domestic and international levels. This support has amplified the committee's influence and garnered appreciation from related entities focusing on international humanitarian law worldwide. Such achievements are fueled by the unwavering backing of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman, may God protect them. 
For a considerable period and in accordance with its constitution encompassing numerous international humanitarian law regulations and principles, Riyadh has been actively engaged in advancing international humanitarian law, promoting human rights culture, strengthening international peace and security tenets, and advocating for peaceful conflict resolution through diplomatic channels. Saudi Arabia shares its expertise to further its designated role in upholding humanitarian values, serving as an exemplary model for prioritizing dialogue and fostering a more harmonious global environment. This emphasis on activating international humanitarian law principles has garnered widespread global acclaim, underscoring the Kingdom's esteemed status and its recognized role in promoting peace and wisdom, while utilizing established conflict resolution mechanisms to address crises. The government's notable commitment to international agreements and obligations, particularly those aimed at upholding the core principles of international humanitarian law as a fundamental path toward a world free from disputes and conflicts, is unquestionable.
