His Royal Highness Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, emphasized the critical role of the Standing Committee of International Humanitarian Law in regional, international, and local contexts. During the unveiling of the Online Newspaper of the Standing Committee of International Humanitarian Law and the upcoming launch of the Saudi Journal of International Law, His Royal Highness Prince Turki Al-Faisal affirmed the committee's commitment to raising awareness of international law using both traditional and modern communication channels. He noted the committee's active participation in international forums and events, showcasing Saudi Arabia's wise leadership's significant role in promoting international humanitarian law. In his statement, His Highness expressed satisfaction with the collaborative partnership aimed at enhancing the media and communication functions through enriching the content of the Saudi Newspaper of International Law. He announced the launch of the Saudi Newspaper on Monday, October 7, 2024, and mentioned the commencement of the final preparatory steps for the upcoming release of the Saudi Journal of International Law. This semi-annual peer-reviewed scientific journal will be published in Arabic and English by the Standing Committee of International Humanitarian Law. His Highness highlighted that these initiatives stem from various media platforms that showcase Saudi Arabia's role, contributions, and efforts in advancing the principles of international humanitarian law, underscoring that "the media serves as the platform tasked with elucidating, interpreting, and presenting facts supported by evidence and conclusive proofs."
