On January 13, 2025, at the university’s headquarter in Riyadh, His Excellency the President of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Ameri, and the Chairman of the Standing Committee for International Humanitarian Law, Dr. Jalal bin Muhammad Al-Awisi, signed a memorandum of understanding between the two entities, as part of the efforts made to enhance joint national cooperation and unify efforts to achieve common goals.
The agreement included the affirmation on spreading the culture of international humanitarian law, exchanging expertise and knowledge, benefiting from specialized cadres in the field of international humanitarian law, and establishing research, academic and advisory cooperation between the two parties, which enhances the development of skills in areas of common interest.
This partnership reflects the understanding and integration between the Standing Committee on International Humanitarian Law and Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University to enhance joint cooperation and achieve contribution to supporting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision (2030) and achieving national strategic goals.
